About us

The Bouwen Grupo is a group of companies whose objective is to provide value across the entire industrial chain, from the conceptualisation of parts to production. Our approach starts in the field of engineering and from there we apply our knowledge and experience to the manufacture of prototypes and machinery, robotisation, the coordination of all processes, the development of innovation and the production of components.

As a service company, we strive to understand our customers’ needs and to meet them by providing a multidisciplinary vision that incorporates the best practices in each sector and adapts them to effectively solve specific challenges and problems.

Our work is characterised by our:

Commitment to our customer’s objectives and the search for solutions that go beyond the obvious.

Responsibility towards the people who are part of the various internal teams and the customer’s own teams.

Confidence that we can solve the challenges we face with our knowledge and expertise.

Leadership skills in managing and motivating teams capable of meeting the challenges posed by our customers and the environment in which we operate.

Long-term vision, which allows us as a group to build a solid foundation for tomorrow.

Our ambition is to provide solutions to our clients at any point in their value chain. To achieve this, we are incorporating experience, talent and solutions within the group that allow us to cover all the needs of the manufacturing processes

[ Objectives ]

The Bouwen Grupo is made up of an ecosystem of companies focused on offering comprehensive solutions to customers who operate in different industrial fields.

Given our strong vocation for continuous growth and diversification, we are constantly acquiring new talent and expertise. This enables us to develop new skills, increase our expertise, facilitate the resolution of increasingly complex challenges and attract and expand our customer base.

As a growing group and mindful of the need to diversify, we also promote various innovative initiatives such as:

01

The development of innovation applied to industry 4.0.

02

The manufacture of lighter components, leading to weight reductions, e.g. for vehicles.

03

Electric mobility and the connection between vehicles and cities.

04

Energy storage and management, through batteries and management software.

“We provide solutions tailored to our customers, thanks to the diversity of our areas of expertise and the talent of our people”

[ History ]

The Bouwen Grupo was born out of the search for solutions to industrial processes and the confidence in the talent and effort of the people who work for the group.

[2003]

Creation of Itera

Our story starts the company Itera. Created in 2003 by Jordi Cebolla, who was joined by his brother Bernardo Cebolla, it specialises in engineering services throughout all the phases of a project, from development to serialisation. It has had a strong foothold in the automotive sector, from which it has expanded into other sectors.

[2018]

Acquisition of Hidragrup and creation of Sinfiny

The Cebolla brothers’ desire to expand their activities led them to acquire Hidragrup in 2018, a company founded in 1990 and specialising in the manufacture and maintenance of machinery for industry. Sinfiny was created the same year, as a spin off from Itera, with the aim of extending its engineering services to the field of process industrialisation, specifically in the areas related to the design and integration of automated robotised lines for different sectors. With this incorporation, the group reinforced its services supporting its customers in improving the efficiency of their operations and strengthening the quality of their products.

[2021]

Smobery founded

In 2021, the company Smobery was founded as part of the drive to find new solutions in the field of mobility.

[2022]

Acquisition of a stake in Managing Composites

In 2022, a stake was acquired in Managing Composites, enabling the company to enter the field of component manufacturing with composite materials.

[2023]

Creation of Prenso and Evocus

The group’s expansion is continuing in 2023 with the opening of the first plant operated by Prenso, a company dedicated to the engineering and manufacture of composite parts for multiple industries and applications.

Evocus was also created this year, specialising in the manufacture of models, prototypes and the fine-tuning of stamping tools, as well as assembly processes.

[2024]

Voltex

A new company, Voltex, is planned for launch in 2024. It will design and manufacture stationary batteries for residential and light industrial use.

The combination of these companies allows synergies to be generated within the group itself in order to respond to challenges from a global vision that multiplies results. This allows Bouwen to help our customers find a global solution to the different needs that arise from their industrial processes. The creation and development of this important industrial group has entailed a significant investment effort, through which we are also contributing to the development of our surroundings and society.

The Bouwen Grupo has grown from Valencia (Spain), the birthplace of Itera, and we are now present on three continents.

Innovation

Our roots in the automotive sector have meant we have always been in constant contact with technology and innovation.

We see technology as being a set of tools that, when applied correctly, allow an industry to improve its processes, optimise production and become more efficient and profitable.

Innovation has also been with us since our beginnings, as we have continually created innovative processes that add value to the production chain in response to our customers’ needs. Moreover, if we see an area where we can contribute, we get involved in it. A good example of this is Smobery, our battery charging station initiative for light electric vehicles.

Sustainability

Supporting Industry 4.0 also means helping companies to become more efficient and more sustainable.

Most industrial sectors are immersed in a process of change involving multiple variables: from the robotisation of production lines, to the use of lighter materials that consume less CO2 in transport, to the important challenge of decarbonisation and the use of cleaner, less polluting, but also more efficient technologies.

We seek to contribute in this area not only by providing our services to other companies. In addition, we have been actively involved through the company Smobery, by anticipating future needs for battery charging stations for light electric vehicles. We are also working on developing a stationary battery system that allows end consumers to store the energy generated, for example, by solar panels, for later consumption.

Within the group we have also promoted the use of solar energy through the installation of panels on the roof of our company Hidragrup.

This has allowed us, as a group, to take a further step forward in a field into which we are applying our knowledge.
